Community Access
Collective members work both independently and collaboratively—developing bodies of work, sharing responsibilities for hosted community events, participating in workshops, field trips, and artist talks, and cultivating entrepreneurial skills by promoting, exhibiting, and selling their artwork.
Since its founding in 2015, the Art Collective has recognized the vital importance of access to the arts as a means of self-expression, learning, community connection, and artistic entrepreneurship. Today, the Collective continues to provide a creative hub where artists can pursue their practice free of cost while gaining access to professional opportunities.
Artist Commitment
Members sign an artist agreement outlining our commitment to them, as well as the expectation that they remain actively engaged in art making and contribute to the life of the collective. Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with event planning, welcoming guests, leading community workshops, or supporting collaborative projects like screen printing.
Community Engagement
The Collective is deeply connected to the community, presenting art exhibitions and creative engagement projects such as stencil printing, mail art, and zine workshops across cultural spaces, libraries, and community hubs.
