My work explores solitude, space, and the emotional weight of quiet moments. Whether painting the vast landscapes of the Southwest, the still streets of small desert towns, or the minimal silence of interior rooms, I’m drawn to scenes that evoke both peace and introspection.
The natural shapes of the Southwest landscape captivate me—wide skies, layered mesas, and endless distances. These paintings reflect my need for tranquility, but also stir a deeper reflection on the meaning of life and the ache of loneliness which hums in the background.
Along with the landscapes, my depictions of Southwest towns also focus on their human absence. These empty streets and quiet buildings suggest stories untold, time suspended, and a poignant kind of stillness.
